CASULO STUDIO BRANDING | VISUAL DESIGN | UX
When I first was commissioned the brand identity project for Casulo Studio, my first reaction was one of pure joy.
As exciting as it was to be part of something entirely new (this studio had just opened its doors recently), inevitably you are faced with the challenges inherent to processes like this. The biggest of all? You basically are defining the character of a brand from scratch. And, as you may guess it, this is no small task.
Luckily for me in this case, I was working with a team that knew exactly what they wanted and, even more importantly, what they didn't like. Casulo's identity should reflect a laid-out personality without being perceived as less professional for using a more unconventional tone. Would it be possible to combine these two apparently conflicting principles? All in all, we realised that this was simply a false trade-off.
"This is so us" was their first reaction when they saw the final work. You can only imagine the smile they've accomplished to put on my face (almost as bigger as the one on the logo).
