Borrowing their own words, Nespresso is not just a coffee, it is a sensorial experience. It is exactly due to this mantra that they decided to launch the Monsoon Malabar special edition, which origin story remotes to the 18th century, when coffee sailed from India to Europe in wooden-hulled ships, monsoon winds infused the beans, changing their essential character. I was asked to tell this story in the form of a website that would create anticipation amongst coffee lovers, always looking for the next special edition.
The challenge was to translate such a rich story into a one-page website, transporting the user into that atmosphere and creating the desire to experiment this coffee. All of this achieved through a clean and modern visual language that would reflect Nespresso’s sophistication.
The final website is a mirror of the brand, full of delightful details, that enrich the overall experience. The bottom line was to translate the richness of this coffee’s story in a compelling visual way, giving a small “taste” of this long awaited product to coffee aficionados.
